Sencha is light, very refreshing and delicate.
The flavour of Sencha is often described as vegetal or grassy, we also call it delicious! The leaves are slightly steamed after picking to prevent oxidisation, locking in the fresh green colour and flavour. The leaves are then rolled which gives them their unmistakable long, thin shape.Sencha: also a treat served over ice.
